Reserve your spot by pre-paying online. Sign-up closes 24 hours prior to event in order to have a headcount for preparing supplies, food and beverages. 

THE AGENDA

This workshop combines letterpress printing and watercolor! You'll have the opportunity to letterpress print a decorative egg design on to cotton paper on one of our platen presses. We will then watercolor them using a 3-color palette.

We will be working with three Gansai Tambi watercolors: Lemon Yellow, Cherry Blossom Pink and Cobalt Turquoise Light and experimenting with mixing secondary colors.

If you'd like to cut your eggs out, hole punch them and string them up as ornaments, we will have supplies on hand for that as well.

Included in workshop

  • A brief overview of the basics of letterpress printing and the workings of our platen press.

  • Each participant will have time on the press to make their own prints.

  • We will have pre-printed eggs ready to watercolor, as only one person can print at a time.

  • Watercolor supplies will be provided: 3 color pans , brushes, water, paper towels.

  • Additional supplies provided for cutting and stringing up your eggs if you choose to make them into ornaments.

Drinks & Snacks

We will have wine, beer, a non-alcoholic option and charcuterie. Please leave us a note at checkout if you have any allergies we should know of and we will try our best to accommodate.

Additional things to note
  • This group is limited to 5 people.
  • No previous letterpress printing or watercolor skills required. 
  • All participants receive a one time 10% off any in-store purchase.
Refunds & Cancellations

We understand things come up last minute. Our events take an immense amount of time and resources to plan. Therefore, if you reserve a spot and you cannot attend, our policies are as follows:

  • Cancellations made 48 hours or more from the date/time of event will receive a full refund.

  • Refunds are not provided for cancellations made less than 48 hours from day/time of event or for no-shows on the day of the event. 

  • You are also welcome to give your spot to someone else for the workshop.
